​Challenging and realistic exercises and drills are the best way to test emergency public information capabilities. From phone calls and interviews to news stories and social media, public affairs play is vital to creating an exercise environment in which EPI can be accurately evaluated and improved. But with time and resource constraints, simulating the media and public can be difficult. In this session, a veteran of more than 150 exercises will focus on creative tips and tricks you can use at your site to make EPI simulations more effective – including opportunities to leverage Argonne National Laboratory’s own Exercise Training Network and ChirpEX social media tool.
