Technical Basis
A review of available sources did not identify exposure limits or acute toxicity data for this chemical. Instead, the chemical health hazard ratings (GHS, NJ Dept. of HHS) were considered. These ratings indicate both high levels of skin and eye damage and “serious” health risks; as such, an HHR=3 was assumed as the TEEL-3 basis (Section 3.4.5) and evaluated using factors in Tables 3.2, 3.3, and 3.4. TEEL-2 and TEEL-1 values were derived according to Table 3.5.
• TEEL-1 = TEEL-2/11
• TEEL-2 = TEEL-3/6
• TEEL-3 = HHR = 3
This review generated TEEL values less conservative than Rev. 29A. The Rev. 29A TEEL-2 basis was a rabbit TCLo not found in the current review; the Rev. 29A TEEL-1 and TEEL-3 were derived from this TEEL-2. Instead, the current basis is an assumed HHR=3, due to the health hazard ratings associated with the chemical.
