Technical Basis
Hydrazine hydrate is a mixture of hydrazine and water. A review of available sources identified did not identify exposure limits or acute toxicity data for this chemical. Instead, AEGLs for a similar chemical, hydrazine (CASRN: 302-01-2) were evaluated for TEEL development. These AEGLs were selected due to their priority among Protective Action Criteria (Section 1).
• PAC-1 = AEGL-1 (hydrazine, CASRN: 302-01-2)
• PAC-2 = AEGL-2 (hydrazine, CASRN: 302-01-2)
• PAC-3 = AEGL-3 (hydrazine, CASRN: 302-01-2)
This review generated PAC values inconsistent with Rev. 29A; the Rev. 29A and current sources are consistent, AEGLs for hydrazine (CASRN: 302-01-2). Differences in reported values are due to Rev. 29A applying a molecular weight adjustment; the current ppm values are unmodified, per Section 3.2.2.
