Technical Basis
A review of available sources did not identify exposure limits or acute toxicity data for this chemical. Instead, analysts evaluated AEGLs for similar chemicals, hydrazine (CASRN: 302-01-2) and nitric acid (CASRN: 7697-37-2), for TEEL development. Of these compounds, hydrazine has more conservative exposure limits. Considering this, the AEGLs for hydrazine were selected due to their priority among Protective Action Criteria (Section 1).
• PAC-1 = AEGL-1 (hydrazine, CASRN: 302-01-2)
• PAC-2 = AEGL-2 (hydrazine, CASRN: 302-01-2)
• PAC-3 = AEGL-3 (hydrazine, CASRN: 302-01-2)
This review generated PAC values inconsistent with Rev. 29A; the Rev. 29A and current sources are consistent, AEGLs for hydrazine (CASRN: 302-01-2). Differences in reported values is due to Rev. 29A applying a molecular weight adjustment; the current ppm values are unmodified, per Section 3.2.2.
