Technical Basis
A review of available sources identified the following: rat toxicity study and federal exposure limits. Data sources were selected according to the hierarchy listed in Table 3.1. Toxicity data were selected according to type of exposure, species, and route according to the hierarchies stated in Sections 3.3.1, 3.3.2, and evaluated using factors in Tables 3.2, 3.3, and 3.4. As such the federal exposure limits were used for TEEL calculations. TEEL-1 values were derived according to Table 3.5. TEEL-2 and -3 were based on ERPG values.

• TEEL-2 = ERPG-2 (0.1 ppm)
• TEEL-3 = ERPG-3 (1 ppm)
This review generated TEEL ppm values that are consistent with Rev. 29A. Minor differences in TEEL-1 values reported in mg/m3 may be due to rounding.
