Technical Basis
A review of available sources identified a rat oral LD50. Toxicity data were evaluated and selected according to type of exposure, species, and route according to the hierarchies stated in Sections 3.3.1, 3.3.2, and factors in Tables 3.2, 3.3, and 3.4. The LD50 was the most preferred exposure and was selected to estimate a TEEL-3 value. TEEL-2 or TEEL-1 estimates were calculated from the TEEL-3, according to guidance in Table 3.5.
• TEEL-1 = TEEL-2/11
• TEEL-2 = TEEL-3/6
• TEEL-3 = Estimated from rat oral LD50 (2217 mg/kg)
This review generated values are consistent with those published in Rev. 29A.
