Technical Basis
A review of available sources did not identify exposure limits or acute toxicity data for lithium hydroxide monohydrate. Instead, available data for lithium hydroxide (CASRN: 1310-65-2) was evaluated as TEEL bases; data sources were selected according to the hierarchy listed in Table 3.1. For lithium hydroxide, available lithium hydroxide sources, the WEEL-C and rat 4-hr LC50 were selected as TEEL-2 and TEEL-3 bases, respectively. The LC50 was evaluated using factors in Tables 3.2, 3.3, and 3.4, scaled to a 60-minute equivalent using the ten Berge equation (Section 3.3.4), and molecular weight adjusted (Section 3.4.3.2). A molecular weight adjustment was also applied to the WEEL-C. The TEEL-1 was calculated according to Table 3.5.

• TEEL-3 = MW-adjusted rat LC50 (lithium hydroxide, CASRN: 1310-65-2, 960 mg/m3/4H)
