Technical Basis
A review of available sources was unable to identify exposure limits for this chemical, but toxicity data was available. Multiple toxicity starting points were found, with rat and monkey inhalation, intravenous, and oral data explored for TEEL-3 development. Out of the data listed, monkey inhalation data is the most preferable species and route (see Section 3.3.2) and was selected as the TEEL-3 basis. For TEEL-2, a man oral TDLo dosage was found and used, and the TEEL-1 was calculated in accordance with Table 3.5 of the handbook.

TEEL-1 = TEEL-2/11
TEEL-2 = Human (male) oral TDLo (650 ug/kg)
TEEL-3 = Monkey 10-minute LC50 (800 mg/m3)

This review generated values that are slightly less conservative than those reported in Rev. 29A. In Rev. 29A rat inhalation data was used for TEEL-3 and the fill gap adjustment factors (Table 3.5) were used for TEEL-2, however monkey data is preferable based on species and was therefore selected for the TEEL-3 basis in this review. Additionally, with toxic endpoints nausea/vomiting, using the TDLo is preferable to the adjustment factors and was selected as the TEEL-2 basis.
