Technical Basis
A review of available sources was unable to identify exposure limits for this chemical, but toxicity data was available. The rat intraperitoneal LDLo data was selected as the TEEL-3 basis. The human, oral TDLo was selected as the TEEL-2 basis, because humans are the most preferred species (See Section 3.3.2.) The TEEL-1 value was calculated from this TEEL-2 value, in accordance with guidelines in the handbook (Table 3.5.)

TEEL-1 = TEEL-2/11
TEEL-2 = Human (male) oral TDLo (29 mg/kg; toxic endpoints: nausea/vomiting)
TEEL-3 = Rat intraperitoneal LDLo (500 mg/kg)

This review generated more conservative TEEL-1 and TEEL-2 values than those listed from Rev. 29A, which were based on rat intraperitoneal dosage. The current recommendation for TEEL-2 is based on a more preferred species and toxicity exposure route, while the TEEL-3 value remains consistent with Rev. 29A.
