Technical Basis
A review of available sources identified exposure limits for this chemical including an AEGL-2, AEGL-3, and TLV-STEL. The AEGLs were selected as the TEEL-2 and TEEL-3 due to their priority among the emergency exposure limits (Section 1). Due to insufficient data, an AEGL-1 does not exist for this chemical; therefore, the TLV-STEL was selected as the TEEL-1.
• TEEL-1 = TLV-STEL (0.15 ppm)
• TEEL-2 = AEGL-2
• TEEL-3 = AEGL-3
This review generated TEEL-3 and TEEL-2 ppm values consistent with Rev. 29A. Minor differences in the TEEL-3 value reported in units of mg/m3 may be due to rounding. Values in units of mg/m3 are reported as published in the technical support document Table 10-1, per handbook guidance (Section 3.4.7.2). The Rev. 29A and current TEEL-1 source are both listed as TLV-STEL; however, the value was updated to a more conservative value in 2017.
