Technical Basis
A review of available sources identified exposure limits (TWAs, STELs, LOC AEGL-3). Data sources were selected according to the hierarchy listed in Table 3.1. The AEGL-3 was selected due to its priority among Protective Action Criteria (Section 1). The LOC was selected as the TEEL-2. The MAK-STEL was selected as the TEEL-1.
• PAC-1 = TEEL-1 = MAK-STEL (0.02 ppm, 0.13 mg/m3)
• PAC-2 = TEEL-2 = LOC (0.003 g/m3)
• PAC-3 = AEGL-3
This review generated PAC-3 and PAC-2 values consistent with Rev. 29A and a PAC-1 value inconsistent with Rev. 29A. The Rev. 29A TEEL-1 basis was the TLV-TWA, while the current value is a higher priority MAK-STEL. The Rev. 29A and current TEEL-2 value, source, and methodology are consistent. The current PAC-3 remains the AEGL-3.
