Technical Basis
Exposure limits were not available for this chemical. Analysts used toxicity data for n-propylbenzene, applying Table 3.4 and Table 3.5:
TEEL-1 = TEEL-2/11
TEEL-2 = TEEL-3/6
TEEL-3: LD50, Rat, oral, Dose = 6040 mg/kg

Considering species/route preferability, source credibility, and reasonable conservatism, a LD50 rat oral was chosen for TEEL-3 development. For contrast, using a health hazard rating basis (HHR = 3) corresponds to a TEEL-3 = 79 mg/m3.

Analysts’ methods align with the values presented in Rev 29A and did not result in changes. TEELs were rounded to two significant figures and converted from referenced units to either ppm or mg/m3, providing both values.
