Technical Basis
A review of available sources identified rat and mouse LD50 toxicity data for various routes and a rat LC50. Data sources were selected according to the hierarchy listed in Table 3.1. Toxicity data were selected according to type of exposure, species, and route according to the hierarchies stated in Sections 3.3.1, 3.3.2, and evaluated using factors in Tables 3.2, 3.3, and 3.4. The rat LD50 oral (3120 mg/kg) was selected as the TEEL-3 basis. While the analysts also found higher priority rat LC50 inhalation data (390 mg/m3) from a Sigma Aldrich safety data sheet, this data was not used since the source could not be verified. TEEL-2 and TEEL-1 were calculated according to Table 3.5.

• TEEL-3 = rat oral LD50 (3120 mg/kg)
This review generated TEEL-1 and TEEL-2 values that are inconsistent with Rev. 29A. The TEEL-3 basis is the same as Rev. 29A, however the rat oral TDLo data that was used as the TEEL-2 basis in Rev. 29A was not able to be located in this review and resulted in less conservative TEEL-1 and TEEL-2 values.
