Technical Basis
A review of available sources identified exposure limits (IDLH, LOC, OEL-STEL, TWAs) and acute toxicity data that did not have to be used since there are exposure limits that inform all the TEELs. Data sources were selected according to the hierarchy listed in Table 3.1. The 1990 and 1994 IDLHs were evaluated; the revision (1994) included an analogy to a similar chemical in addition to the same sources as the original (1990) IDLH. As such, analysts selected the 1990 IDLH as the TEEL-3. The LOC was selected as the TEEL-2. The lowest OEL-STEL (Denmark, 15-minute) was selected as the TEEL-1.

• PAC-2 = TEEL-2 = LOC (0.001 gm/m3) "TEPP"
• PAC-3 = TEEL-3 = IDLH (1990, 10 mg/m3)
This review generated PAC-3 and PAC-2 values consistent with Rev. 29A and a PAC-1 value inconsistent with Rev. 29A. The Rev. 29A and current TEEL-3 and TEEL-2 sources and methodology are consistent. The Rev. 29A TEEL-1 was derived from the TEEL-2, while the current TEEL-1 is a short-term occupation exposure limit (OEL-STEL, 15-minute, Denmark).
