Technical Basis
A review of available sources identified exposure limits for soluble uranium (CASRN: 7440-61-1): TLV-STEL and IDLH. Data sources were selected according to the hierarchy listed in Table 3.1. Both exposure limits were adjusted with compound adjustment factors. The molecular weight adjusted IDLH was selected as the TEEL-3. TEEL-2 values were calculated according to Table 3.5. This molecular weight adjust TLV-STEL was selected as the TEEL-1.
• TEEL-1 = MW-adjusted TLV-STEL (Uranium, CASRN: 7440-61-1, 0.6 mg/m3)
• TEEL-2 = TEEL-3/6
• TEEL-3 = IDLH (1990; Uranium, CASRN: 7440-61-1, 20 mg/m3)
This review generated TEEL values that are consistent with Rev. 29A*.
