Technical Basis
A review of available sources identified AEGLs for this chemical. The AEGLs were selected as the TEELs due to their priority among the emergency exposure limits (Section 1). Table S-1 reports AEGLs in units of mg/m3 that are significantly different than what would be expected for conversion at standard temperature and pressure (STP; 25°C, 1 atm). The reported TEEL-2 is 27 mg/m3, while a converted TEEL-2 is 12 mg/m3. Similarly, the reported TEEL-3 is 80 mg/m3, while a converted TEEL-3 is 37 mg/m3. Considering this, the TEEL-3 and TEEL-2 ppm values were converted to units of mg/m3 at STP; these converted values were then rounded to two significant figures (Section 3.4.7.2). TEEL-1 values were derived according to Table 3.5.
• TEEL-1 = TEEL-2/11
• TEEL-2 = AEGL-2
• TEEL-3 = AEGL-3
This review generated TEEL values consistent with Rev. 29A*. Use of converted and rounded AEGLs in units of mg/m3, instead of using the values reported (Section 3.4.7.2), is in accordance with Section 4.2-4.3.
