Technical Basis
A review of available sources identified the following: a mouse LCLo and LOC. Data sources were selected according to the hierarchy listed in Table 3.1. The LOC was selected as the TEEL-2. Although an LCLo is listed as a preferred source for a TEEL-3, it was determined that the TEEL value generated from this basis (TEEL-3= 0.90 mg/m3) was overly conservative, given that it was two orders of magnitude less than the LOC (20 mg/m3). Instead, the TEEL-3 value was derived from the LOC (Table 3.5). The TEEL-1 was also derived according to Table 3.5.
• TEEL-1 = TEEL-2/11
• TEEL-2 = LOC (0.02 g/m3)
• TEEL-3 = TEEL-2 x 6
This review generated TEEL values consistent with those in Rev. 29A.
