Technical Basis
A review of available sources identified exposure limits (PEL-C, REL-C, TLV-C, ERPG-3 and ERPG-2) and acute toxicity data (TCLo, LDLo, LD50) for several species and routes. Data sources were selected according to the hierarchy listed in Section 2.1 and Table 3.1. The ERPG-3 and ERPG-2 were selected as the TEEL-3 and TEEL-2. The TEEL-1 value was derived according to Table 3.5.
• TEEL-1 = TEEL-2/11
• TEEL-2 = ERPG-2 (0.05 ppm)
• TEEL-3 = ERPG-3 (4 ppm)
This review generated TEEL ppm values that are consistent with Rev. 29A. Minor differences in TEEL-1 values in units mg/m3 may be due to rounding.
