Technical Basis
A review of available sources identified AEGLs and a TLV-TWA exposure limit. The AEGLs were selected as the TEEL-2 and TEEL-3 due to their priority among the emergency exposure limits (Section 1). An AEGL-1 is not recommended for this chemical; therefore, the TLV-TWA was selected as the TEEL-1 basis and was derived according to Table 3.5. Values in units mg/m3 are reported as published in the technical support document Table 4-9, per handbook guidance (Section 3.4.7.2).
• TEEL-1 = TLV-TWA (0.1 ppm) x 3
• TEEL-2 = AEGL-2
• TEEL-3 = AEGL-3
This review generated TEEL ppm values that are consistent with Rev. 29A. Minor differences in TEEL-3 values in units mg/m3 may be due to conversion and rounding of these values, instead of use of source values.
