Technical Basis
A review of available toxicity data was able to identify toxicity and exposure limit data for this chemical. A rat, oral LD50 was selected as the TEEL-3 basis. TEEL-2 values were calculated from this TEEL-3, in accordance with guidelines in the handbook (Table 3.5.) The TLV-TWA exposure limit was selected as the TEEL-1 basis (Table 3.5.)

TEEL-1 = TLV-TWA x 3
TEEL-2 = TEEL-3/6
TEEL-3 = Rat oral LD50 (8600 mg/kg)

This review generated a TEEL-1 that is consistent with Rev. 29A. The recommended TEEL-3 and TEEL-2 values that are slightly more conservative. In Rev. 29A, the TEEL-3 basis was reported as a rat oral LD50 value, which was not found during research, therefore the rat oral LD50 is a lower starting value is the current starting point.
