Reed joined the NNSS in June 2023 and quickly built-up a new EOC training and cadre management program. Before landing at the NNSS in Mercury, NV, Reed was top management professional and Supervisory Special Agent with the U.S. Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Service (DSS). As a member of the Foreign Service, Reed managed multidiscipline security programs, counterterrorism investigations, and protection and crisis management activities around the world. He served six postings to U.S. embassies in South Asia and the Middle East and an equal number of domestic assignments. Reed retired from the State Department as the Special Agent in Charge of their Los Angeles Field Division. Reed has earned a graduate certificate in Strategic Leadership from Georgetown University, a Master of Science in Campaign Planning and Strategy from the Joint Forces Staff College, and a Bachelor of Arts from UNLV.
