About The EMS Application

The Emergency Management Symposium Application is a web application was developed for members and associates of the Emergency Management Issues Special Interest Group (EMI-SIG) within the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).\ The primary goal of the symposium is to facilitate the sharing of successful emergency management strategies among members of the EMI-SIG and the larger NNSA community. This application is seamlessly integrated with the Enterprise Data Management System (EDMS) and the Identity Hub, requiring no additional data management. Moreover, it is hosted on a known government URL, allowing it to be easily accessed on government-issued equipment. By building a custom in-house web application, organizers have full ownership and can tailor it to the specific needs of the EMI-SIG and NNSA community. This approach also allows the organizers to improve upon the web application with each iteration, ensuring it evolves to meet the ever-changing needs of the community.

Under the direction of Jessica Falcon, the NA-41 tech team has developed this tool as an extension of the EDMS in support of the DOE NNSA Emergency Management community.
