Professional Bio

Gary White is a Physical Security Specialist with the Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Security Assistance. In this role, Gary is responsible for the development and promulgation of DOE Order 470.3 Design Basis Threat and DOE Technical Standard 1192 Security Risk Management.

Gary joined DOE in 2007 and has more than 30 years of professional experience in security administration. He regularly leads, guides, and participates as a member of a team of security specialists, engineers, program analysts, subject matter experts and intelligence specialists engaged in the formulation, development and promulgation of the DOE security orders and technical standards, vulnerability assessments, security risk assessment process, threat assessments and provides technical assistance to field and headquarters elements.

Gary holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in security administration both from Southwestern College.
