Professional Bio

Alessandra graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. She started her career as an Analytical Chemist at bp for 5 years, supporting refineries and performing research to improve the refining process. Alessandra worked as an Assistant Laboratory Manager at a third-party petroleum testing laboratory before transitioning to a Hazards Analyst position at Argonne National Laboratory. During her career, Alessandra became passionate about safety and is thrilled to apply her knowledge to her role as a Hazards Analyst to assess the risks associated with on-site hazardous materials and security assets. Alessandra enjoys spending time with family, kickboxing, cooking and trying new recipes, and taking her dogs – Romeo and Dolly – on walks.
