Professional Bio

Courtney Brown is the manager of the Remote Sensing Laboratory (RSL) Readiness-West section in Las Vegas, NV. He as a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s in business administration. He supports the RSL crisis response and consequence management (CM) emergency response teams both as a deployable field-team member (in the role of equipment technologist, liaison officer, or operations specialist) and as a home-team response manager. As a response manager, he was the initial RSL contact for the US government when the earthquake/ tsunami hit the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant. He was also on the first team to deploy to Japan for this event, spending three weeks as a CM Liaison at the US Embassy in Tokyo.
