Ms Ellis has 20 years of experience in public safety, mitigation, emergency response, preparedness, and recovery. She served as the Director of Emergency Management for the University of Colorado Denver and Anschutz Medical Campuses for 17 years before transitioning to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in 2024. Ms Ellis serves on the DOE Legacy Management Support contract providing Emergency Management services to over 100 legacy nuclear decommissioning sites across the United State and the territory of Puerto Rico.
