Professional Bio

Ken Adkins has worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) for over 30 years in a career spanning national security policy, legal counsel, finance, government relations, and public affairs. As program manager of the Emergency Public Information program since 2008, he works closely with the LANL Emergency Management division on program planning and execution and coordinates drills/exercises and training for the lab’s EPI cadre. He served as the JIC manager during the 2011 Las Conchas Fire emergency which threatened the LANL site and at the time was the largest wildfire in New Mexico state history.
