Professional Bio

Dr. Todd Smith is the Senior Level Advisor for Emergency Preparedness and Incident Response in the Office of Nuclear Security and Incident Response at the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Prior to joining the NRC, Dr. Smith served in the US Navy as a Submarine Warfare Officer. He graduated from Purdue University with a MS and PhD in Nuclear Engineering, specializing in thermal-hydraulics and reactor safety, and holds a MS in Radiation Health Physics from Oregon State University.
