Professional Bio
Amber Rodriquez graduated from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse with a bachelor’s in business management. After College Amber joined FEMA Corps and responded to disasters across the country, most notably the 1,000-year flood in South Carolina. During her year of service, she received the Gold Presidential Award, the Bronze Congressional Award, and Corps Member of the Year. After FEMA Corps she joined the South Carolina Emergency Management Division where she worked for 3 ½ years as a Recovery Coordinator. During that time, she completed her master’s in emergency management while responding to and recovering from 8 disasters. One of those disasters included an EMAC to Anchorage, Alaska to establish the recovery program after the major earthquakes in 2019. She came to the Savannah River Site in December 2019. She now serves as the Site Drills and Exercise Manager where she conducted two Site Level Exercises including the Active Shooter Exercise in 2023 and K-Area Microburst in 2024.
