Professional Bio
Caroline Garzon is a general engineer and qualified Nuclear Safety Specialist supporting the Office of Nuclear Safety Basis and Facility Design within the Office of Environment Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) at the Department of Energy Headquarters. Her primary responsibility is the development and maintenance of nuclear safety basis policy. Ms. Garzon started her career at the Department in 2008 through the Environmental Management (EM) Professional Development Program supporting the EM Chief of Nuclear Safety. Ms. Garzon has a Master of Environmental Engineering degree from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Resources Engineering from the University of Maryland.
