Professional Bio
August Harless serves as a Hazards Analyst at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, contributing to the All-Hazards and Technical Planning Basis programs and supporting the identification and characterization of security assets under the lab’s Design Basis Threat program. He also serves as a Protective Action Unit Leader and Consequence Assessor for the lab’s Emergency Response Organization. August holds a B.S. in Environmental Toxicology from the University of California, Davis, with a focus on exposure assessment, risk assessment, and risk management. Prior to joining the Berkeley Lab, he assisted with research on lead exposure in the Environmental Health Laboratory at the California Department of Public Health in Richmond, California.
